A perfect artisan bread – the Banneton baskets create a slightly humid micro-climate between the dough and the Banneton during proofing. The rattan basket is also capable of proofing overnight in the fridge, tightly covered. Suitable for any bread recipe, including gluten-free recipes. All natural – 100% rattan cane. Splinter-free, smooth, and non-stick. Chemical and odor free. Just dust sufficient flour and dough will easily slip out after proofing.

    Ok for everyone out there I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve never made my own bread aside my actual Wolfgang pucks bread machine which is super easy. I wanted to learn how to do my own sourdough from starter and still at this point haven’t been able to because I’ve been in the hospital but it looks so super easy. I’ve gotten everything I need now so it’s a matter of being able to stand to do it. I absolutely cant wait!

    This was my first attempt at this type of bread making. The baskets come with fitted linen liners, but I chose to leave them out to achieve the circular pattern on the bread. Baskets feel very well made. Pleased with my decision to purchase!

    I’m having so much fun learning to bake different types of bread using this proofing basket. I’m still learning to find the line between over-flouring the liner and not getting the grooves or under-flouring the liner and having the liner stick to the risen dough. But it does what it is supposed to do, and once I get the hang of it I think it will be easier to clean.

    I wasn’t sure what size banneton to get. If you’re using the Tartine bread recipe, the 9inch works great for the 2 loaves. I’ve also divided the recipe into 3 loaves the banneton obviously works, as well. The proofing basket is wonderful — has held up for about 4 months so far, and I love having the option with the cloth to omit the basket pattern. I’ve also used it to cover the basket while proofing the dough instead of saran wrap and it works great!

    Es ist nicht mein erster Gärkorb, aber einer der besseren. Klar, bei so einem Teil kann man wenig falsch machen. Er tut, was ein Gärkorb tun soll und vor allem, lässt er sich gut reinigen.

    Durch das anzeigbare Tuch, welches waschbar ist, ist das Teil sehr hygienisch-gerade in Bezug auf Mehlmotten zu empfehlen. Gut auch die Größe-man kann bei vielen Rezepten einfach ohne Probleme die doppelte Menge Mehl verarbeiten, da das Körbchen groß genug ist.
